The Washington Library Media Association asked Zipline to aid in the redevelopment of their existing web site. The client provided Zipline with their new logo, and from there we developed a new look for the site, both graphically and functionally. Their list of requirements included content management, search functionality, RSS feeds, a managed events calendar, and minimal load times.
In addressing these needs, we applied our content management system, which is as easy to use as a word program. From this admin area they can add new pages, content, photos and hypertext links throughout the site. A standardized template allows the client to add pages without breaking out of the branded image established on the initial pages.
Flexible HXTML/CSS programming was employed to optimize the speed with which pages loaded. This structure also makes site-wide appearance changes very easy.
The site is hosted through Zipline and all email accounts are included in the hosting package.
